Laura Matula is an entrepreneur, creator, performer and educator based in Nashville, TN. She is a partner of MA2LA, a husband-and-wife Nashville-based creative firm specializing in brand identity, photography and film. Their work has been published in Dwell, GQ, W Magazine, Food and Wine Magazine, Bon Appetit, Dance Magazine, People Magazine, The New York Times and more. Their music videos have been featured on VH1, MTV, Fuse and CMT while their teasers and trailers have been featured nationally. Laura specializes in film as a producer and director and marketing and design in art direction and brand identity. Laura graduated from Berklee College of Music after studying Music Business/Management and Vocal Performance and moved to Nashville where she worked for years in the music and entertainment industry, most extensively at Third Man Records.

At Third Man she helped manage the label from events and the record store to tour managing and producing music videos and performing on the occasional record, including vocals on Jack White’s 2012 Blunderbuss album and piano on the 2008 Quantum of Solace Motion Picture Soundtrack for the opening sequence track ‘Another Way to Die’ featuring Alicia Keys. Laura performs in professional theater in Nashville, TN as well as in the recording studio and is honored to have been able to perform on some of Nashville’s greatest stages, including the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, TPAC’s Jackson Hall, and Ryman Auditorium. On stage performances include iconic roles such as The Lady of the Lake in Studio Tenn’s ‘Spamalot’, Rizzo in ‘Grease, The Wicked Witch of the West in ‘The Wizard of Oz’, Fantine in ‘Les Miserables’, Eliza Doolittle in ‘My Fair Lady’ and many more. In addition to performing on stage and in the studio, Laura is a vocal coach, music director, writer and arranger. Her first musical written with Cori Anne Laemmel titled ‘If I Were You’ debuted at The Theater Bug in Nashville in 2017. Most importantly she is a wife, mother and storyteller.
